It's basically just characters watching the events of book 8 play out. There was a long ass bit about the story of the guild stone which I skipped, coz I don't care. There's Darius' POV of that weird nymph scene with Tory, thats basically the only spicey bit.After waking up alone Tory sees a vision of her mother . Darius, Orion and Geraldine go to the palace to take Vard ’s eye while he's sleeping and get attacked by one of Lavinia's shadow creatures but they manage to stop it. Meanwhile Seth, Caleb, Max, Dante and Gabriel free a group of Fae from a holding facility.When he returns home after the catastrophe, Darius laughs at him and describes what he would do if he could take Tory out, and you realize he truly knows her and is her perfect match. And that Caleb didn’t really put in any effort to get to know her, because he has the same opportunities as Darius and still doesn’t truly know Tory.
