2006 Xterra. Car woldn't start, so it was jumped. Put in a new battery. Ever since the ABS, Slip, and VDC lights have stayed on. Took it to a Nissan dealer who said it would be a simple rest for $50. Tried disconnecting the battery, the whole drive straight thing, brake pads, rotors, fluid has all been done recently. Same issue with my 05 Xterra. While I agree the VDC has nothing to do with dying, I'm having similar missfiring, shutting down and running again. The VDC is also lighting up occasionally as this occurs. Replaced both CPS sensors with Nissan ones. The new design by them is these are metal and not black plastic as prior.
